Aggregate Washing. The washing of aggregates is required for many markets and applications. Nowadays the finished product needs to meet specifications outlined by the ever stringent and demanding world markets. Where dry screening was accepted in the past, washing and scrubbing are now required to produce a silt free product.
At this site in Rodekro, a Powerscreen Chieftain 2200 screened sand and gravel material that was dredged from a lake. Once screened the oversize material was sent to a cone to be crushed. The midsize material was sent to a washing plant and cleaned for concrete products, with the fines material being sold as an end product.
